A special stone deserves a special setting. This stunning fossilized coral is cut in a trapezoid shape and has a field of creamy white and burnt orange "flowers" blooming over its surface. I set this stone in a short fine silver bezel with high crenellations holding it on all four corners. Small silver flowers blossom along the edges of the silver base. The wide silver bail has a pyramid-cut wine red garnet set in 14k gold, which contrasts beautifully with the oxidized silver. The back of the pendant is open to show the flowering patterns on the bottom of the stone, with more silver flowers adorning the silver frame. The silver has been oxidized and then given a soft brushed finish. This gorgeous pendant hangs from a hand-knit heavy silver chain that has been oxidized and highlighted, with a simple and easy to grip hook closure. Every element in this necklace was made by hand with an eye for each detail. The silver flowers were all cut and carved by hand, and placed with spontaneous care.
The pendant measures 1 5/8" long from the top of the bail, and 1 1/2" wide. The fossilized coral is 32x24mm and the garnet is 8x8mm. The adjustable chain is 15-18" long. This one of a kind necklace is entirely handmade from fine and sterling silver, and 14k gold. It is ready to ship!
