Copper Verdigris Satosa Earrings with round Carnelian-Small
Copper Verdigris Satosa Earrings with round Carnelian-Small
Hand-cut copper earrings, inspired by the elegant lines of succulent leaves, are given a verdigris patina. Patterns of blue spread across the copper like veins of turquoise. The copper is aged like leather or old wood where it shows through the patina. These earrings are light weight and comfortable at less than 4 grams each, and won't drag down on your earlobes. A small round carnelian is set in the center of each earring, giving a beautiful contrast with its earthy red hues.
Each drop measures approximately 1 3/4" in length, measured from the top of the ear wire, and 7/8" wide. The carnelians are 4mm round cabochons.
Each hand-made pair of verdigris earrings is a one of a kind. The patina reacts to the metal in a unique way every time and you should expect differences in color pattern in each pair of earrings.
*Special care for verdigris patina. The surface of the metal has been treated with a protective coating to preserve the patina. However, moisture can still change the appearance of the earrings and ultimately damage the patina. You should never wear your jewelry in the shower or while swimming, or store it in a humid place (such as the bathroom).
