Garnet Charm Necklace

A small faceted red garnet is set culet up atop a textured sterling silver disc, with a larger oxidized silver disc swinging loosely behind it. The two charms hang from a large hammered silver teardrop, which hangs from a heavy oxidized silver chain. I created this necklace as an exercise in using up the scraps from other projects, and I matched up these two shapes as parts that should go together. I love the simple concept with a bit of color thrown in to tie it all together. The charm and ring portion of the necklace measures 1 3/4" long and 7/8" wide. The necklace is 16" long and adjusts to 18", with an S hook clasp.
