Cream and white fossilized coral cabochons in a long triangle shape are paired with aqua blue chalcedony accent stones. Hand-carved silver flowers bloom around the fine silver bezels, and the open frame on the back allows you to admire the patterns on the underside of the stones. A strip of fine silver runs horizontally between a break in the stones on one of the earrings in the kintsugi style*. Round aqua chalcedony cabs are set on the sterling silver ear wires so that the fossil corals dangle directly below. The silver has been oxidized and given a brushed finish to bring out the details in the flowers.
These earrings measure 2 1/8" long from the top of the ear wire, and 5/8" wide. This one of a kind pair of earrings is ready to ship!
*Kintsugi is the Japanese technique of using precious metal-typically gold-to repair cracks or breaks. Traditionally used in pottery, this method celebrates the philosophy that a broken object can be repaired and that flaws can be beautiful.
